JANUARY 27, 2004; MILFORD, OH -- ITI TranscenData, the Product Data Interoperability business of International TechneGroup Incorporated (ITI), announces that French electronics giant Thales Optronique has cut its data exchange workload by 80% following the implementation of DEXcenter.

With operations in more than 30 countries, Thales is a global company serving aerospace, defense and IT markets worldwide. DEXcenter has been deployed at the company's Guyancourt site, with interest sparked in several other sites following this initial success.

DEXcenter is an Internet/intranet-based system providing a convenient, reliable and secure method for translating engineering data. DEXcenter allows Thales to completely automate the flow of product data among its internal users. This will be expanded in the second stage of implementation to include data transmission between Thales and its customers and suppliers.

Ingetech, ITI TranscenData's partner in France, secured the deal, which addresses the problem of engineering data exchange between Guyancourt's design department and its subcontractors or other internal departments, specifically where this data relates to Pro/Engineer. Before deploying DEXcenter, the exchange of data was a manual process, a time consuming task equivalent in man-hours to employing two full time CAD technicians. DEXcenter has automated the entire process --- an estimated time saving of 80%.
