MILFORD, OH; MARCH 10, 2004 -- ITI TranscenData announces the availability of CADfix 6.0, the latest version of the leading engineering data interoperability solution. CADfix enables users to repair and translate data between CAD, CAM and CAE systems. A revamped user interface, streamlined workflow and extensive new "find and fix" functionality will help boost design-to-manufacture productivity and reduce time to market.

The new version has a fresh-looking, reorganised graphical user interface (GUI) that allows novice users to get up and running quickly. This also allows occasional users to return to CADfix as needed, confident in getting productive results immediately.

The CADfix Wizard plays a more central role than ever, guiding users through the import, repair and export process with the minimum of manual intervention. For those who like to keep it simple, translation is now as straightforward as choosing the file and a target system and allowing CADfix to do the rest.

Version 6.0 brings new functionality to CADfix's diagnostic and repair tools, to meet the requirements for Product Data Quality (PDQ) assessment. Driven largely by the Japanese market, the new PDQ testing functionality brings the total number of automated "find and fix" tools in CADfix to over 90. The CADfix PDQ analysis settings are fully configurable, enabling users to assess models for conformity to in-house policies and international standards such as JAMA, SASIG and VDA.

The CADfix workflow has been overhauled to please both novice and experienced users, with the sophisticated diagnostics now yielding results in far more accessible language. As before, problems are color-coded for severity, but now a diagnostic summary and a choice of solutions are available. Following any repairs, CADfix automatically reassesses the model, ensuring that the impact of fixes are reflected before the next is made.
