Don Hemmelgarn
Executive VP and President, ITI TranscenData

Don Hemmelgarn joined ITI in 1984 and today directs the company's Product Data Interoperability business -- ITI TranscenData. Don has an extensive background in the development and application of product data interoperability technologies and solutions.

Don's responsibilities include managing the company's business operations and interests throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, and partnerships with major PLM providers including Siemens PLM, Dassault Systemes, and PTC. Since joining ITI in 1984, Don has been instrumental in ITI's transformation from a software development organization to the world's leading provider of product data interoperability solutions.

Don managed development projects that implemented STEP translation software for major CAD/CAM system vendors. He provided technical management and consulting to the Air Force's Geometric Modeling Applications Interface Program (GMAP), which focused on development of next-generation product data exchange technology.

In addition to his duties at ITI TranscenData, Don serves as an Officer and Executive Committee member of the PDES Inc. Executive Board, and formerly served as a longstanding member of the board of directors for the US Product Data Association.

Prior to joining ITI, Mr. Hemmelgarn's experience was focused in the area of engineering graphics software support and development. He has considerable experience with the software development environments of several major CAD/CAM systems. At Kenner, his work concentrated in applying graphics and analysis software in the field of plastics. He also developed software tools to aid in the NC machining of complex injection molds.
